This website was started by a long-time activist with roots in the anti-nuclear movement of the 70s and 80s. He sees the direction of Trump v2.0, and is troubled by what will happen in the next four years. The goal of the site is to support resilience in ourselves and our communities, offering tips for surviving 2025-2028. Some of these tips are to support our personal mental health, while others show how we can work to resist the radical changes being imposed on our country.
Logistics
This website is hosted by an independent hosting company (Cooini). It’s backbone is the WordPress platform, an open source web publishing software.
Many of the random/non photograph images were created using AI through DeepAI (I try to avoid big AI due to it’s high energy consumption, but I’m not a good enough artist to create my own images).
Why ice themed images?
It’s going to be a cold four years, but there’s some sunlight visible if we look carefully. Each ice image has some specks of sunlight in them.
Who are the authors
As of launch (April 2025), it’s just me, Lee. I hope to get other authors involved, please contact me if you’d like to be a contributing author. Please let me know a bit about yourself, why you’d like to contribute, and some method so I can ensure you’re not a bot. Authoring posts is about as simple as writing any document (as I tell organizations whose websites I maintain, ‘keeping the site up is easy, it’s writing good content that is the difficult part’).
Authors full names will not be provided unless they desire that (Trump 2.0 is already showing the danger of speaking up too publicly).
